The New Blancpain Limited Edition Ocean Commitment IV
Blancpain unveils the limited edition Ocean Commitment IV watch, supporting ocean preservation through the new Blancpain x Sulubaaï Marine Research Centre.

Blancpain unveils the limited edition Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV, continuing its longstanding commitment to ocean conservation. Limited to just 100 pieces, this exclusive timepiece marks over 20 years of Blancpain’s efforts in supporting ocean preservation and sustainable marine research.
A portion of the proceeds from each watch sold will fund the newly launched Blancpain x Sulubaaï Marine Research Centre, which expands the Sea Academy initiative focused on ocean conservation and sustainable management of marine resources.

The Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV draws design inspiration from the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Tech Gombessa model, featuring a 45mm Grade 23 titanium case known for its lightweight strength and resilience. The watch is equipped with a helium valve, designed for saturation diving, and a unidirectional bezel with a domed black ceramic insert, allowing for easy manipulation even with diving gloves.

The luminescent dial absorbs 97% of light for optimal readability underwater, while block-shaped hour markers ensure exceptional visibility in low-light conditions. The integrated black rubber strap and case’s fixed central lugs provide superior comfort and a sleek, modern look.
At its core, the BOC IV is powered by Blancpain’s renowned Calibre 1315A, an automatic movement with a five-day power reserve and anti-magnetic silicon balance spring for exceptional accuracy and timekeeping. The 18ct gold oscillating weight is engraved with the distinctive blue BOC logo and can be admired through the sapphire case back, offering a glimpse into the watch's remarkable craftsmanship.

The launch of the Blancpain x Sulubaaï Marine Research Centre on February 7, 2025, marks an important milestone in the brand’s ongoing ocean conservation initiatives. The Centre, located in Sandoval village, is strategically positioned near key research areas and marine protected areas (MPAs) around Pangatalan Island and Shark Fin Bay in Palawan, Philippines.

These MPAs were established with Blancpain’s support, and the Centre will play a vital role in enhancing research, restoration, and protection of marine ecosystems in the region. €1,000 from the sale of each BOC IV will go directly to support these initiatives, contributing to a fund total of €100,000.
Each of the 100 limited edition timepieces comes in a Pelicase™ box, along with a numbered certificate of donation and a special edition photograph. The photo, captured by renowned photographer Laurent Ballesta, is part of a series of 100 prints, each corresponding to the watch’s serial number.
The striking image, which won the 2023 Wildlife Photographer of the Year grand prize, depicts a horseshoe crab in its natural habitat around Pangatalan Island. This ancient species, whose design has remained unchanged for over 150 million years, is now endangered, making Blancpain’s marine protection efforts even more significant.

The Fifty Fathoms Tech BOC IV is not only a luxurious timepiece but also a meaningful contribution to the future of our oceans. Owners of this limited edition watch will be invited to join the Blancpain Ocean Commitment Circle, a select community of individuals dedicated to supporting and advancing ocean preservation efforts.
This exclusive collaboration between Blancpain and the Sulubaaï Environmental Foundation is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to both exceptional watchmaking and the health of our planet’s oceans.
