The Longines League of Nations™ is Back with Team Ireland Winning the Opening Leg

The Longines League of Nations™ returns for an exhilarating new season, bringing together world-class riders across three continents from February to October. The season kicked off in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from February 12 to 15, where Sweden’s Rolf-Göran Bengtsson emerged victorious in the Emirates Jumping Cup presented by Longines.

Team Ireland made a strong start to the competition on Saturday, securing the top spot in the opening round of the 2025 Longines League of Nations™. As the Official Partner, Timekeeper, and Watchmaker of this prestigious event, Longines is proud to support the league and its athletes.

This season promises even more thrilling action, with elite teams competing at stunning venues worldwide, from Abu Dhabi to the iconic Real Club de Polo in Barcelona. Each event will showcase breathtaking displays of skill, precision, and horsemanship, captivating audiences around the globe.

In Abu Dhabi, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and his horse, Zuccero HV, delivered a masterclass in technical skill and agility, claiming the Emirates Jumping Cup.

The excitement continued on Sunday as Team Ireland, led by Chef d’Equipe Michael Blake, delivered an outstanding performance, combining strength and grace to win the first leg of the 2025 Longines League of Nations™.

To celebrate the top teams, Patrick Aoun, Longines Regional Brand Manager for the Middle East and Southeast Asia, presented the winners with exquisite Longines timepieces.

Longines also unveiled its Official Watch for the event: a chronograph from the Conquest collection. This model blends timeless elegance with sporty design, featuring a self-winding mechanical movement, a silicon balance spring, and non-magnetic components.

The 42mm stainless steel case is water-resistant up to 100 meters, complemented by a sleek champagne sunray dial, rhodium-plated hands, and a stainless steel bracelet. The watch is also available in various dial colours and rubber strap options.
