OTB, the international fashion and luxury group, is proud to announce that iconic creations from its brands—Viktor&Rolf, Diesel, Maison Margiela, and Marni—will be featured in the “Memorabile. Ipermoda” exhibition at the MAXXI National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome. This collaboration with the National Chamber for Italian Fashion, curated by Maria Luisa Frisa, showcases the artistic and creative values of OTB’s brands while exploring contemporary fashion’s role in social, economic, cultural, and political change.

The exhibition presents a selection of garments, archival materials, and videos from Viktor&Rolf, Diesel, Maison Margiela, and Marni, inviting visitors to delve into the aesthetic world of these brands.

Viktor&Rolf takes centre stage with iconic pieces, including a show-stopping dress from their Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture collection, which captured attention during Paris Haute Couture Week. This collection’s dreamy tulle gowns and deconstructed designs highlight the brand’s unique artistic vision. Another key piece is the “NO Coat” from the Fall/Winter 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection. A striking dress from the Scissorhands Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2024 show, exploring the creative tension between haute couture precision and raw tailoring, also features prominently.

Diesel is represented by a standout look from its Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection, which debuted in front of nearly 5,000 people at the brand’s first public show. The event, which set a Guinness World Record with the largest inflatable sculpture, redefined fashion's traditional boundaries. The chosen look, the micro-top and Belt-Skirt underscores Diesel’s commitment to innovation and inclusivity under the creative direction of Glenn Martens.

Maison Margiela’s contribution to the exhibition is a piece from the Maison Margiela Artisanal Autumn-Winter 2017 collection, designed by John Galliano. This collection explores glamour and its re-interpretation for the brand's future, blending artisanal techniques with technological advancements.

Marni presents an outfit from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection, a voluminous hourglass-shaped dress composed of a patchwork of flowers on a compact cotton base. This piece, worn by celebrities on the red carpet, reflects Francesco Risso’s tribute to multidimensionality through bold shapes, graphic forms, and innovative craftsmanship.

The participation of these OTB brands at such a prestigious exhibition underscores the powerful link between fashion and art—a relationship that continues to shape the vision of the Group’s brands.

The “Memorabile. Ipermoda” exhibition is part of the triennial collaboration between Fondazione MAXXI and the CNMI, which focuses on fashion, sustainability, and Made in Italy. It opens on November 27, 2024, and runs through March 2025, highlighting the evolving nature of fashion and its creative processes.
