Curated by Judith Clark, “If You Know, You Know” offers visitors an immersive journey into the Maison’s heritage. The exhibition showcases the extraordinary materials that have cemented Loro Piana’s international reputation, from raw fibres to exquisitely crafted garments, while also celebrating its six-generation family legacy.

Loro Piana shares a longstanding connection with China, where cashmere was first produced, symbolising the brand’s enduring pursuit of excellence. The exhibition explores these deep-rooted ties and the mutual influence between Chinese culture and Italian textile craftsmanship.

Spanning more than 1,000 square metres across three galleries with 15 rooms, the exhibition presents Loro Piana’s core values through a seamless dialogue between rare materials, historical archives, and textile artistry.
Artworks from the Sergio and Luisa Loro Piana Collection and the Pinacoteca di Varallo further enhance the retrospective, underscoring the relationship between art, nature, and masterful craftsmanship.

Through interactive installations and sensory landscapes, the exhibition traces the origins of the world’s most precious fibres, including Chinese cashmere, Andean vicuña, and New Zealand Merino wool.
These luxurious materials are transformed into striking silhouettes, demonstrating the Maison’s meticulous craftsmanship and continuous drive for innovation.

A dedicated exhibition space showcases Loro Piana’s rigorous quality control process, featuring Baby Cashmere under a giant microscope magnified 35,000 times. Additionally, a specially designed room highlights the brand’s iconic thistle motif, illustrating the tool’s role in softening fabrics.
The exhibition concludes with a homage to the Valsesia valley, Loro Piana’s place of origin. An immersive cinematic installation, alongside archival documents, charts the Maison’s extraordinary evolution since its founding in 1924.

“If You Know, You Know” is a compelling tribute to heritage, uncompromising standards, and exceptional craftsmanship, reaffirming Loro Piana’s position as a benchmark of luxury.
