It's Tulip Season at Anantara Amsterdam
Each year from mid-March, Amsterdam and the surrounding Dutch countryside burst into vibrant colour as tulip season arrives. Parks and fields transform into breathtaking floral landscapes, offering a spectacular sight for visitors. To help guests fully immerse themselves in this annual spectacle, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam has introduced three specially curated experiences that showcase the rich history, natural beauty, and culinary inspirations of the iconic tulip.

The latest addition to the hotel’s popular “Tulips in Bloom” collection is the Tulip Treats package. This experience begins with an insightful audio-guided tour of the Tulip Museum, where visitors learn about the flower’s historical significance and its symbolic association with wealth. In the museum’s recently expanded show garden, a stunning display of four million tulips provides the perfect setting for photographs and a delightful alfresco tea. Guests can indulge in exquisite tulip-shaped cakes, a creative confection crafted by a local patisserie, featuring velour-finished mousse and jelly atop a buttery base. The Tulip Treats package is priced at €425 for two people for 3.5 hours, including return limousine transfers.
For those keen to explore Amsterdam’s deep-rooted connection with tulips, the Tulip Treasures package offers a fascinating journey. Guests will enjoy a guided tour of the Tulip Museum led by a professional grower, culminating in a visit to the museum’s exquisite show garden. The experience continues at the elegant Grand Café Krasnapolsky, where a two-course lunch or dinner is served with views overlooking Dam Square. This package is priced at €649 for two people for four hours, including return limousine transfers.
Romantics and nature lovers will be captivated by the Tulip Tableaux experience. This luxurious package includes a limousine transfer, a guided museum tour, and an exclusive picnic in a private tulip field, served by an Anantara butler. The gourmet picnic menu features delicacies such as an Old Dutch cheese sandwich with nutty Beemster cheese and homemade apple syrup; a light lobster salad with artichoke, grapefruit, tomato, and asparagus; Dutch caviar with blini and crème fraîche; and a tulip-inspired dessert layered with pear, elderberry, yoghurt, and spiced Speculaas biscuits. The Tulip Tableaux package is available for €1,250 for two people for four hours.
Each of the “Tulips in Bloom” packages includes a luxury gift bag from Bloomeffects, an innovative skincare brand known for its high-performance formulations enriched with antioxidants derived from tulips grown on a fourth-generation Dutch farm.
For those looking to enhance their skincare routine, the hotel’s Anantara Spa offers the signature Black Tulip Radiance Facial, a 60-minute treatment priced at €175.
Guests visiting outside of tulip season can still bring a piece of Amsterdam’s floral heritage home by purchasing Anantara Tulip bulbs. Developed in collaboration with local growers, these distinctive bulbs bloom into a signature sunshine-gold variety, mirroring the vibrant tulips found at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam and other Anantara properties across Europe each spring.
The three exclusive experiences will be available throughout the 2025 tulip season, from mid-March to mid-May.
