It's Always Burberry Weather
Burberry’s Summer 2025 campaign blends romance, heritage, and innovation, reimagining the classic trench coat for a modern London summer.

To mark the launch of its Summer 2025 collection, Burberry presents a series of seven short films inspired by the beloved British romantic comedies of the late 1990s and early 2000s. These charming narratives capture the everyday love stories of Londoners, blending heartwarming moments with playful dialogue and a touch of nostalgia.
Featuring a star-studded ensemble, the films bring an urban fairytale to life, showcasing love, life, and the ever-unpredictable British rain. Academy Award winner Kate Winslet is joined by Aimee Lou Wood, Chen Kun, Jodie Turner-Smith, Micheal Ward, Nicholas Hoult, Richard E. Grant, and Son Sukku, along with iconic models David Gandy, Liu Wen, and Naomi Campbell. A special guest, a valiant Burberry Knight, makes an appearance, adding a whimsical, non-speaking touch to the storytelling.

At the heart of the campaign is a tribute to Burberry’s rich heritage of outerwear, particularly the timeless trench coat. The films seamlessly intertwine romantic themes with the brand’s expertise in crafting all-weather fashion, featuring both classic trench styles and modern interpretations from the Summer 2025 collection.
“A Burberry love story comes to life through the cinematic lens of this campaign. It’s about humour, optimism and, of course, the unpredictability of our great British weather.” - Daniel Lee Chief Creative Officer
Beyond the screen, Burberry extends the celebration into its retail spaces with immersive window displays and in-store activations. Designed to encapsulate the vibrancy of a London summer, the displays feature delicate wisteria and pastel floral arrangements, evoking the city’s picturesque mews and archways. Lime-washed cladding, inspired by London’s historic architecture, complements the soft hues and textures seen throughout the new collection.

A cornerstone of Burberry’s legacy, the trench coat remains an essential piece for all seasons. Developed in 1879 by Thomas Burberry, gabardine fabric revolutionised outerwear with its breathable, lightweight, and shower-resistant properties. This enduring craftsmanship continues with the Heritage Collection, where classic trench and car coats are expertly woven at the Burberry Mill in Keighley, Yorkshire, and finished with the signature Burberry Check lining.

For Summer 2025, the Castleford trench coat offers a seasonal take on the classic, featuring a lighter gabardine weave and partial lining for added breathability. The collection also introduces contemporary silhouettes that reinterpret iconic Burberry elements; think cropped and draped trench-style jackets in bonded cotton, airy silk dresses, and tailored shirts accented with Burberry Check straps. Innovation remains key, with lightweight jackets crafted from tri-layer wool Prince of Wales check and viscose silk woven with the house’s signature pattern.
“Our Summer 2025 campaign is a joyous celebration of our original purpose – to create clothing that protects people from the weather. It showcases the innovation and craftsmanship that defines Burberry as the ultimate trench and rainwear destination.” - Josh Schulman Chief Executive Officer

With this campaign, Burberry celebrates both its storied heritage and its forward-thinking approach to fashion, reimagining classic designs for the modern wardrobe while embracing the romance and unpredictability of a British summer.
