Dua Lipa Takes the Spotlight in the New Chanel Campaign
Chanel has just unveiled its latest campaign featuring the new CHANEL 25 handbag, with Dua Lipa as the face of the collection.
Captured by Gordon von Steiner, the campaign video follows Dua as she strolls through the lively streets of New York and relaxes in a photo studio, all while wearing Chanel. The soundtrack, an iconic '90s track, "She Drives Me Crazy" by the Fine Young Cannibals, sets a laid-back, cool atmosphere.
In the film, Dua expresses her fondness for the song, sharing, "I love that song. It's such a '90s anthem, and I've always been drawn to that era. I think it's because that’s when I was born, but I constantly find myself returning to that time for inspiration, whether it’s in fashion, music, or film."
The CHANEL 25 bag has a distinct '90s vibe, making Dua Lipa the perfect choice as the muse for its campaign. A modern take on the iconic Chanel 2.55 from 1955, this new design honours Coco Chanel's legacy with timeless elements like quilting, an interlaced chain, and multiple pockets, reinterpreted with a bold, practical twist. As Dua puts it, “I’m obsessed with this bag. It’s the perfect fit for me since I’m always on the go and need to carry everything. I love that it has pockets for all my essentials: books, sunglasses, notebooks, and even my crystals. It’s truly the ideal everyday bag!”
The CHANEL 25 will be available in March 2025.
