Dolce & Gabbana Backs Susan Fang’s Milan Fashion Week Debut
Dolce & Gabbana supports Susan Fang’s Milan debut, blending Chinese heritage with Italian craftsmanship in the Air•Memory Collection.

Dolce & Gabbana, renowned for its dedication to fostering new creative talent, has chosen Susan Fang as the latest designer to receive support through its “Supported by Dolce & Gabbana” initiative. This programme, developed in collaboration with fashion visionary Katie Grand, has previously highlighted rising designers such as Miss Sohee, Matty Bovan, Tomo Koizumi, Karoline Vitto, and Feben.
With the endorsement of the Shanghai Fashion Designers Association (SFDA) and the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), Susan Fang unveiled her latest collection at Milan Fashion Week 2025.

Susan Fang, who founded her eponymous label in 2017 following her graduation from London’s Central Saint Martins, is acclaimed for her ethereal designs featuring pastel hues, fractal patterns, airy fabrics, and sustainable techniques. Her distinctive aesthetic, which fuses nature-inspired elements with innovative craftsmanship, caught the attention of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, aligning with the brand’s creative ethos.

Dolce & Gabbana has been deeply involved in every aspect of Susan Fang’s project, from providing fabrics to hosting her runway show at their location in Via Broggi, 23, Milan. This support has enabled the designer to fully realise her artistic vision, resulting in a collection with a distinctive allure.
The collection takes inspiration from the oil paintings of the designer’s mother, an art form that beautifully conveys her deep connection with nature and emotion. Childhood memories, shaped by the lush landscapes of her hometown, rural scenes, and the warmth of countryside life, have profoundly influenced the designer, allowing her to develop innovative and sustainable concepts.

“During the creation of this season’s collection, I focused on exploring creative expressions across diverse cultural backgrounds, blending a wide range of inspirations into both the design and craftsmanship.
This collection continues my commitment to detail and texture while also venturing into new territory with fresh breakthroughs in form and structure. The ‘Supported by Dolce & Gabbana’ initiative has played a crucial role in bringing this collection to life, providing essential resources and expertise. The Shanghai Fashion Designers Association, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and stylist Katie Grand have also contributed guidance throughout the process.”

The Air•Memory Collection features pieces such as a long jacket, hand-painted by the designer’s mother with scenes of her hometown, symbolising the intangible yet powerful bonds that memory creates, weaving together past, present, and future in a symphony of colour and light.
