CHANDON Marks 50 Years in Napa Valley with a Beautiful Transformation
Celebrating 50 years in Napa Valley, CHANDON unveils a reimagined Yountville estate, blending modern design with a fresh approach to wine hospitality.
The redesigned CHANDON Home reflects a warm, modern aesthetic that invites guests to explore innovative experiences rooted in the art of hospitality. CHANDON's president, Arnaud de Saignes, shares: “In our lands, people, and craft, we have always taken the unexpected route. Now we are ready to tell our story, host in the inclusive, informal, and spontaneous way we do best, and to create lasting memories.”
This Napa Valley landmark is the first of CHANDON’s six global wineries to undergo a major transformation, marking the most significant renovation since its 1977 debut. Spearheaded by Taalman Architecture, the redesign celebrates California’s natural beauty, emphasising light, texture, and seamless indoor-outdoor spaces. The estate’s iconic barrel-shaped roofs now crown fluid and inviting areas, creating a setting that feels simultaneously modern and timeless. “It is a journey for the mind and senses, a space that allows one to feel naturally at home,” explains Linda Taalman, founder of the architectural firm behind the project.
Visitors can look forward to various curated experiences, including farm-to-table tastings, private celebrations beneath elegant sailcloth cabanas, laid-back picnics on the lawn, and enchanting dinners under the stars. For wine enthusiasts, masterclasses led by CHANDON winemakers provide a deeper connection to the craft behind every sparkling bottle.
Stéphane de Meurville, Estate Director of CHANDON California, describes the newly reimagined estate as a true reflection of the brand’s personality: “Our new Home has a fluid, organic contemporary vernacular style that perfectly expresses CHANDON’s informal, spontaneous character.”
