Burberry’s Childrenswear: Style Meets Sustainability with the Remake Capsule
Burberry has launched the Remake capsule, a distinctive childrenswear collection designed to celebrate sustainability through creativity. Comprising over 30 unique pieces, the collection utilises surplus fabrics and yarns from previous seasons, reinforcing Burberry’s commitment to circular fashion. The Remake capsule arrives just in time for the festive season, combining resourcefulness with stylish design.
For more than 150 years, Burberry has crafted garments for younger generations. This legacy traces back to 1911, when the brand first turned surplus materials into childrenswear, showcasing a sustainable approach even then.
The new capsule spans a variety of product categories, featuring miniature versions of Burberry’s signature outerwear, jersey hoodies, sweatshirts, and mouliné knits. These versatile pieces pair effortlessly with contrasting checks in shorts or kilts, reflecting a playful and modern aesthetic.
A standout feature of the collection is the inclusion of a "multiple owners" label, encouraging families to pass down these timeless pieces. Burberry motifs also receive a fresh twist in the capsule. The duck emblem, inspired by a 1992 archival design and now a recurring element in Daniel Lee’s creations, adorns ready-to-wear garments, cashmere blend socks, and a knitted baby gift set comprising a cashmere hat and sweater. Meanwhile, the beloved Thomas Bear teddy has been reimagined with patchwork detailing, further embodying the capsule’s circular design philosophy.
The Remake capsule is part of Burberry’s Wrapped in Burberry campaign, a collection of portraits and videos that capture the joy and warmth of the festive season.
