Bulgari Celebrates the Year of the Snake in Shanghai with an Immersive Art Exhibition

Bulgari launched its Year of the Snake celebrations in Shanghai with a remarkable immersive art exhibition, inspired by the Maison’s iconic serpent motif and reinterpreted by 19 Chinese and international artists.

The exhibition also introduces the new Serpenti 2025 collections.

Featuring 28 artworks by 19 renowned artists—11 of which were created exclusively for the event—the exhibition offers a fascinating exploration of the snake’s symbolic meanings through art, history, and modern interpretations. A highlight of the event was the worldwide debut of "Infinito: AI Data Sculpture" by Refik Anadol, a captivating 3D sculpture displayed in a 360-degree mirrored room.

Over 350 guests attended the inauguration, hosted by Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, at Zhangyuan, a historic public space in Shanghai that has become a cultural and commercial hub. The venue beautifully blends Chinese and Western elements, reflecting the city’s ongoing transformation.

The exhibition’s journey through the snake’s dynamic and ever-evolving identity is divided into three chapters: CRAFTING SERPENTS IN HISTORY, SNAKES IN THE ARTS, and CONTEMPORARY TRANSFORMATIONS. Attendees were treated to an array of stunning timepieces and fine jewellery from Bulgari’s Heritage collections, including several exclusive one-of-a-kind creations displayed throughout the exhibit.

Bulgari’s master artisans also showcased the Maison’s renowned craftsmanship through an interactive workshop. To celebrate the Year of the Snake, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts will offer a special Serpenti suite, providing a complete sensory immersion into the captivating charm of the snake symbol.
