Barry Keoghan visited OMEGA’s HQ in Switzerland, exploring its watchmaking expertise and the rich history showcased at the OMEGA Museum.

Academy Award nominee and BAFTA-winning actor Barry Keoghan recently paid a special visit to OMEGA’s watchmaking headquarters in Biel, Switzerland.
The Irish actor, who became a Friend of the Brand in 2024, took this opportunity to explore OMEGA’s prestigious production facilities for the first time, as well as the extensive history showcased at the OMEGA Museum.
Renowned for his performances in Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin, and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Keoghan is equally recognised for his distinctive off-screen style, often seen sporting a variety of OMEGA timepieces in recent years.

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, remarked, “It’s an honour to welcome Barry Keoghan at OMEGA. Through his performances on screen, we know he is a master of detail and impact, and that he understands the dedication required for excellence. With that in mind, I’m sure he has enjoyed the standard of craftsmanship here. It’s always fascinating and surprising for any guest to see the technology and skill that goes into every OMEGA watch.”

During his visit, Barry Keoghan shared his impressions, saying, “I’m a big fan of OMEGA’s style, but I never knew the huge scale of their watchmaking production. The innovation is quite mind-blowing, and then you have the people themselves who bring so much quality to the designs. I’ve enjoyed discovering that side of the brand, as well as the history. There’s a lot of amazing stories at OMEGA, which just makes the watches even more exciting to wear.”
Spanning five floors and combining advanced technology with expert craftsmanship, OMEGA’s state-of-the-art factory is among the most sophisticated in the watchmaking industry, encompassing assembly, training, and quality control.

Barry Keoghan was given an in-depth look at each stage of the watchmaking process, gaining insight into the precision mechanics and aesthetic attention that define OMEGA’s timepieces.
At the OMEGA Museum, he delved into the brand’s rich heritage, learning about its legacy in Olympic and Paralympic Games timekeeping, its role in space exploration, its connection to James Bond, and its contributions to deep-sea diving. Each exhibit highlighted OMEGA’s remarkable journey since its founding in 1848.
