The Top Time collection introduces the Caliber B31, Breitling’s first in-house three-hand movement. Designed for precision with attitude, it proves that great timepieces are about more than just telling time—they make every moment count.
Since the 1960s, the Top Time collection has represented more than just telling time; it’s about exploring life at your own pace. The original chronograph embodied self-expression and a break from traditional design, appealing to motorsport enthusiasts, fashion icons, and even secret agents like James Bond in Thunderball (1965).
The new Top Time B31 evolves this legacy with a time-only version, maintaining its unconventional spirit while offering a modern 38mm case size that fits any wrist. Powered by the new Caliber B31, it combines reliability with sleek design, built for everyday wear and adventure.
The watch features applied indexes, a prominent date aperture, and a bright orange seconds hand. It’s available in three colourways: white on blue, black on green, and sky blue on white. The streamlined profile ensures a comfortable fit, enhanced by tapered lugs and a curved crystal.
The Top Time B31 is available with either a perforated leather strap or a stainless-steel bracelet with an asymmetrical centre link, offering a bold, sporty look.
The new Caliber B31, four years in development, features enhanced reliability with a 28mm x 4.8mm dimension. It incorporates Breitling’s signature components, including a free-sprung balance wheel for greater precision and a skeletonised bidirectional oscillating weight. These features are visible through the watch’s open caseback.
This COSC-certified chronometer undergoes rigorous testing, equivalent to 16 years of use. With a 78-hour power reserve and a five-year warranty, the B31 marks a significant step in Breitling’s journey towards offering exclusively in-house movements, ushering in a new era of watchmaking.
