Aer Lingus has announced a new partnership with Riverdance, becoming the airline's Official Partner for the internationally renowned production’s 30th Anniversary Tour. The airline will support the world-famous Irish dance troupe as it brings its spectacular performances to audiences across North America, the UK, and Ireland throughout 2025.

Originally capturing hearts as a mesmerising seven-minute interval act during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, Riverdance made its full-length debut in 1995. The show has since become a global cultural phenomenon, created by composer Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty, and directed by John McColgan. Now, three decades later, Aer Lingus is proud to assist Riverdance as it continues to enthral audiences worldwide.

The landmark 30th-anniversary celebrations will span 2025, with Riverdance - The New Generation embarking on an extensive tour across North America. The troupe will perform in 45 locations from January to June, including key Aer Lingus hubs such as Boston, Toronto, New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

Following its North American tour, Riverdance will return to Ireland for a highly anticipated 14-week residency at Dublin’s iconic Gaiety Theatre. Later in the year, the production will tour 30 venues across the UK, with performances at prestigious locations such as London’s Hammersmith Apollo, Manchester Opera House, and Liverpool’s Empire Theatre. The anniversary celebrations will conclude in Belfast, marking the end of a truly memorable year.

Commenting on the partnership, Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, said:

"Riverdance has been connecting people around the world to Ireland’s heritage and culture for 30 years. As the Official Airline Partner of Riverdance’s 30th Anniversary Tour, Aer Lingus is proud to foster those connections. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of Riverdance performers onboard as they share the magic of Irish music, song and dance with new audiences in North America and beyond."

Padraic Moyles, Executive Producer of Riverdance, added:

"Riverdance’s partnership with Aer Lingus brings together two iconic Irish brands, which are both dedicated to celebrating and sharing Irish culture with the world. We look forward to commemorating our  30th Anniversary  and are delighted to collaborate with Aer Lingus to bring Riverdance – The New Generation to  audiences  across North America, the UK, and Ireland."

In addition to this exciting collaboration, Aer Lingus will expand its transatlantic network in 2025 with the launch of two new destinations, Indianapolis and Nashville, operated by its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft. This will bring the airline’s total number of transatlantic routes from Dublin, Shannon, and Manchester to 24.

As always, customers flying from Ireland to the United States with Aer Lingus can benefit from US preclearance facilities at Dublin and Shannon airports, ensuring a seamless travel experience.

This partnership marks a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of Riverdance, as Aer Lingus helps bring Irish culture to audiences far and wide in this landmark anniversary year.
