A hub for artist books, DABF connects artists, designers, writers, and collectives, showcasing works from creative, small, and independent publishers—both Irish and international. This year’s fair features a record-breaking 275 artist books, celebrating the book as an ever-surprising art form.
For 2024, Guest Curator Adrian Duncan introduces the theme Fictions: The makings of other worlds, explored through a curated book selection and a series of guest talks.

Bring the whole family on an adventure-filled hunt through the museum, quizzing these imposter Santas with Christmas-themed questions to uncover the real one. Once you find him, enjoy a special moment captured with a Polaroid photo to remember your magical encounter with Santa Claus.

Rigoletto at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre
The Irish National Opera presents Rigoletto. A tale of love, betrayal, revenge, and a curse, Rigoletto follows the court jester’s devotion to his daughter Gilda. When the lustful Duke of Mantua and his courtiers play a cruel trick, Rigoletto seeks vengeance, but Gilda’s love leads to tragic consequences.
This powerful new production delves into grief, loss, and the destructive force of revenge. Baritone Michael Chioldi stars as Rigoletto, with soprano Soraya Mafi as Gilda and tenor Bekhzod Davronov as the Duke. The cast also includes bass Julian Close as Sparafucile and Cork mezzo-soprano Niamh O’Sullivan as Maddalena, accompanied by the Irish National Opera orchestra and chorus.
Sung in Italian with English subtitles, Rigoletto is a co-production with Santa Fe Opera and Opera Zuid.
