The Weather Forecast

On Friday, expect a wet and blustery day with rain spreading eastwards across the country, heavy in places. Fresh to strong southerly winds may lead to coastal flooding due to high spring tides. Later in the evening, a clearance to bright spells and isolated showers will move into the western half of the country, with temperatures ranging from 14 to 17 degrees. By night, rain will clear from the east early on, leading to clear skies and light showers from the west. Temperatures will drop to between 7 and 10 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds.

Saturday, the day will be mainly dry and bright with sunny spells and isolated showers, although clouds will thicken from the southwest later in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will range from 11 to 14 degrees in moderate south to southwest winds, with rain and strong winds expected to develop overnight. By Saturday night, wet and windy conditions will set in with strong southerly winds and widespread heavy rain, with lows ranging from 9 to 13 degrees.

Sunday is likely to be windy with strong southwesterly winds and potential coastal flooding. Rain will clear early, followed by sunny spells and showers throughout the day. Highs will be between 12 and 15 degrees.
